Jennifer Camota, Ed.D., MBA
Dr. Jennifer Camota is an inspirational, passionate, and effective champion for the inclusion of people of all abilities. Jennifer has a long history of active leadership in organizations that advance disability rights, diversity and inclusion, women in leadership, social entrepreneurship, and education.
A seasoned leader, Jennifer spent over two decades in senior management positions in the corporate and higher education arenas. She led large operational accounting teams at Fortune 1000 companies and was Associate Dean and Professor of Leadership and Management at both the University of San Francisco (USF) and Hult International Business Schools.
Jennifer’s only son has an intellectual disability, and it is her aim to remove the obstacles and barriers to inclusion in all areas of his life and the lives of others with disabilities, particularly in education, in the workplace, and in the community at large.
Christopher, a North Dakota native who has lived in California for ten years, is a Special Education Teacher and Department Chair at Walters Junior High School in the Fremont Unified School District. Christopher has over 14 years of teaching experience in Japan, Thailand, and the United States. He has worked with students with a variety of abilities at all grade levels.
Christopher is passionate about inclusion, and he is constantly encouraging his students to focus on what they can do, rather than what they cannot do. He has a step son with an intellectual disability, so he wants to ensure that all people with disabilities have great opportunities in the future.
Christopher earned his double bachelor’s degrees in Geography and Political Science from the University of North Dakota, and a Master’s degree in Geography, from the University of Wisconsin. He also has a full teacher’s credential and an Autism certificate.
